Track Conversions with Adobe

Enable conversion-based optimization in the Perform Media Console (PMC) by sending Adobe Analytics reports containing relevant conversion events. This integration allows Perform Media to attribute performance to media spend and improve ROI through better bidding and targeting.

Daily delivery of conversion data is recommended to ensure optimal performance.

Integration Summary​

To complete the integration, please follow these steps:

  1. Append the {clickId} macro to your destination URLs.
  2. Configure a Visit-Level Custom Events report in Adobe Analytics.
  3. Share your conversion event names with your Partner Manager.

Step 1: Implement the Perform Media Click ID Macro​

There are two supported options for passing your clickId into Adobe Analytics:

Option A: Append to Existing CID Parameter​

Append the clickId to the end of your existing CID value.

Example https://www.example.com/?cid=ppc-Perform-juv_diabetes_JD-PM-{keyword}-{clickId}

  • No extra logic is needed if your current Adobe setup already captures the full CID.
  • Perform Media can extract the clickId from this field as needed.

Option B: Dedicated Query Parameter​

Append pmcid={clickId} to all ad or keyword-level URLs.

Example https://www.example.com?clickID={clickId}

In Adobe Launch:

  • Create a Data Element to extract clickId from the URL
  • Map it to a dedicated eVar (e.g., eVar55 = clickId)

Please notify your Partner Manager which option you’re using so the proper ad or keyword URL format can be applied.

Step 2: Configure and Deliver the Adobe Analytics Report​

Set up a scheduled Adobe Analytics report that includes the following:

  • Dimensions:

    • Date
    • Hour of Day
    • Minute
    • Data element for the eVar where the clickID is stored
  • Metrics:

    • Visit-level counts for all conversion events to be tracked
  • Report Requirements:

    • Rolling date range: 3–7 days
    • Delivery frequency: Daily
    • File format: CSV
    • Send to: conversions@performmedia.com
    • Email subject: Adobe Analytics: Offline Conversion Ingestion: {AdvertiserName}

Step 3: Share Conversion Events for Optimization​

Please provide your Partner Manager with the following:

  • A list of event names to be tracked as conversions
    • Please note any preferred conversion weightings for performance optimization.
    • These events should match the columns being sent in the Adobe report.
